2025 \/ 2026 updates<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Works are now underway to refurbish and extend Old Aberdeen House (on the current school site) to provide St Peter’s RC School with a modernised school. Significant investment is being provided by Aberdeen City Council for this project. This will see a complete transformation of Old Aberdeen House as well as an extension for a new dining hall, gym hall and other offices, rooms, meeting spaces and learning areas. This will create a two-stream school on site.<\/p>\n

As part of these works, our school has temporarily moved to Dill Road in Tillydrone to allow these works to take place. At present, it is estimated that works will be completed by October 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n

The below newsletter gives the latest updated on our school building works at Dunbar Street. We will bring more news from our pupil “Robertson Reporters” in the coming months!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Robertson Reporters”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Robertson Reporters<\/em> are a group of pupils who are helping to share the story of our new school as it is being built. Different pupils will take part in visits to the site at key stages and work together to report on what they see, learn and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After each visit, the reporters will create a short newspaper-style update in their own words, including photos, captions and key information about the progress being made. These updates will be shared regularly with our school community, helping everyone feel involved and excited as our new school takes shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this, our pupils are developing their confidence, communication skills and understanding of the building process, while keeping everyone informed about this important journey for our school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
