We use it to spell watch, latch and hatch. Also we have been learning how to write in different genres. We can write\u00a0narrative stories with colourful characters, inspiring settings and fantastic plots. We are good at writing clear\u00a0instructions in the right order.\u00a0We have written about our science experiments and we have written instructions for building different types of bridges.<\/p>\n<p>In maths we have been learning how to multiply by a single digit. <a href=\"http:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/multiplyingby10and100video.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1261 alignright\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/_d_improd_\/multiplyingby10and100video-300x165_f_improf_300x165.jpg\" alt=\"multiplyingby10and100video\" width=\"300\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a>We also know\u00a0how to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commoncoresheets.com\/SpecificLink.php?Path=Math\/Multiplication\/Understanding%20Multiplying By 10s\">multiply and divide by 10,100 and 1000.<\/a>\u00a0If you are multiplying by 10 just move the digits one space to the left and there will be zero units. To multiply by 100, move two spaces to the left and there are zero tens and units. To multiply by 1000, move the digits three spaces to the left\u00a0and there are zero hundreds, tens and units.\u00a0We have also been learning about fractions and decimals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/bridge-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1260 alignleft\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/_d_improd_\/bridge-1_f_improf_102x61.jpg\" alt=\"bridge-1\" width=\"102\" height=\"61\" \/><\/a>In our topic, we have been learning about different bridges in Scotland and bridges all around the world. Andrew and Henry made a Powerpoint presentation about\u00a0bridges and it was awesome!!!!!!<\/p>\n<p>We have also been learning about China with Miss Wang and<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1262 alignright\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/_d_improd_\/origami_Santa_f_improf_79x84.jpg\" alt=\"origami_Santa\" width=\"79\" height=\"84\" \/> we are learning how to speak Mandarin. Last week she taught us to make origami Santas!<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the choir went to the Music Hall to sing in the\u00a0CLIC SARGENT Christmas Carol concert and we had lots of fun. We listened to the adult choir rehearsal and then we performed on stage.
