This term our taught writing is based on our “IDL – Fractured fairy tales”. We will be continuing our daily literacy lessons covering spelling, handwriting, grammar, tools for writing and reflective reading. We are also taking part in the “First Ministers reading challenge”, gathering evidence of the books we read this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Numeracy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Our numeracy topic this term is “money”. We will be looking at calculating change, special offer, values for money, bank accounts and budgeting. This will also link to our Christmas Fayre enterprise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Health and wellbeing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This term we are focusing on “achieving”. We will look at our own strengths, things we find challenging and how to overcome these challenges. We will focus on invasion games in PE lessons on a Tuesday and continue with RADS on a Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n IDL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This term , our whole school context is “Performers and Performances”. We are working hard on our acting skills for our performance of “Aladdin Trouble”. We are also looking at “Fractured fairy tales” thinking about alternative endings, mixing fairy tales and writing the story from another characters point of view. As a school, we are writing our own school story, with each class writing a different part. P7 started the story, writing the introduction.
