We had so much fun working on our ‘Let’s Celebrate’ IDL. We prepared lot’s of art which focused on symbols associated with Scotland. We designed our own tartans, created the night sky over Aberdeen using water colours and made castles using mixed media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took part in Scottish competitions. Some of us learned a Scottish poem, others learned a Scottish song or prepared art .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrated Burn’s Night with some Scottish food tasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We learned to dance Scottish dances and presented our skills in front of the whole school during ceilidh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wrote acrostic poems, imaginative stories and fact files about Scotland. We also translated Doric poems to English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also compared Scottish celebrations of Burn’s Night with the Carnival. We spoke about Carnival and how and where it’s celebrated. We created Carnival art- masks and shakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wrote acrostic poems and fact files about Carnival .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the learners in P3\/4 were very poud of their hard work and learning therefore they shared their skills and knowledge with the whole school during sharing assembly. Learners also invited their families to open class event to celebrate and share their learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
