Primary 7 have enjoyed settling into their new class and have established new leadership roles and routines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Numeracy: This term we have been focussing on number: estimating and rounding; place value; multiplication; division; subtraction; addition and the order of operations.\u00a0We have also been learning more about data handling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Literacy: We enjoy reading and understand its importance. We regularly read for pleasure, take part in small reading group activities and enjoy Reflective Reading opportunities. We continue to write from different genres and plan our writing through our IDL topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IDL: Our first context for learning this year was \u2018We Are Linguists.\u2019 This topic gave us the opportunity to learn more about France, French speaking countries and to\u00a0 improve our learning of the language. We enjoyed a French themed Active Adventure Day and even enjoyed tasting some French food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our second IDL context for learning is \u2018Our Future World.\u2019 Primary 7 are learning all about Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swimming: We are very fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to attend swimming lessons at Aberdeen Sports Village. We will continue with swimming lessons until 7th November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Machar Transition Day: We had a fantastic morning meeting other primary 7 pupils from local schools at the transition morning held at St. Machar Academy.
