Literacy <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Literacy this term we have been learning how to write about a personal experience and began to look at imaginative writing. We will be using strategies taught in Read Write Inc., such as fred fingers and blending cvc words to begin labelling. It is important for P1s to be practising regularly with their sounds and letter formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numeracy <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Numeracy this term we have been developing our understanding of number and number processes, such as counting forwards and backwards, ordering numbers, identifying odd and even numbers and practising the recognition and formation of numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health and Wellbeing <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Health and Wellbeing, we have been focusing on the SHANARRI Indicators \u2018safe\u2019 and \u2018healthy\u2019 with Mrs O Sullivan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IDL <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our IDL contexts this term are \u2018Our Democratic World\u2019 where we are looking at people who help us. Following this, we have moved on to \u2018Myths and Legends\u2019 where we are looking at a range of traditional Fairytales. This will link nicely to our Listening and Talking and Expressive Arts outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
