P1\/2 have been working very hard and we cannot believe that we are halfway through Term 3!<\/p>\n

Here is a brief overview of what the children will be doing during the next three or four weeks!<\/p>\n

Phonics:<\/p>\n

P1 children will be learning the sounds ‘ng’<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>and ‘wh<\/strong>‘<\/a> as well as consolidating our previous phonemes. New spelling words will be with \u00a0\u00a0us \u00a0\u00a0so \u00a0\u00a0old \u00a0\u00a0do \u00a0\u00a0going<\/strong><\/p>\n

P2 children will be learning the sounds ‘i-e<\/strong>‘, ‘o-e<\/strong>‘ and ‘a-e<\/strong>‘<\/a>. They will also be consolidating our previous phonemes. New spelling words will be \u00a0–\u00a0five \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0time\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0life \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0line \u00a0\u00a0home\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0more<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0school<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0Mrs. \u00a0 take \u00a0gave cold<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 don’t<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mathematics:<\/p>\n

Over the next few weeks the children will be learning about:<\/p>\n

time – o’clock telling the time in whole hours on analogue clocks<\/a>\u00a0and reading digital clocks.<\/p>\n

division – sharing equally.<\/p>\n

Our topic will continue to be transport. The children will be making their own papier mache balloons. If you have any spare newspapers, they will be gratefully received!<\/p>\n

RE – We will be learning more about Lent which will lead us to the Easter Story.<\/p>\n

Mrs Black brought in an old ploughing medal to show the children. Horses were one of the first forms of transport!<\/p>\n

\"\"The children are learning Mandarin and enjoy their active lessons every Tuesday.<\/p>\n
