We had a great first term back. We learned decimal numbers and data handling in Maths. We improved our knowledge of analysing data, creating different graphs and conducing surveys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This term we  continued the CYPIC approach to writing. Our first focus was Vocabulary with thoughts and feelings, while also looking at punctuation. Through CYPIC we wrote imaginary stories, diary entries and fact files. In reflective reading we learned more about visualisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This term we also covered our \u2018We Belong\u2019 topic where we  looked at our place in the world and what makes us unique. This helped us look at the UNCRC in more depth and have an understanding of the rights of a child. We also started a 2nd<\/sup> topic on Inventor and Inventions and focused on inventions in Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In PE we loved learning about tennis and hockey. We learned how to control the ball, pass the ball and serve accurately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Science we learned about food chains, animal classification and adaptation. We learned all the special features animals have developed in order to survive, hunt or hide from the predators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had some special events too: we enjoyed the Macmillan coffer morning and baking treats for it, we had our school paraded and celebrated who we are, ee also enjoyed our Active Adventure Fridays!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
