Our new spelling words will be<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>every, find, want, girl, father, head, mother, jump, four, <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>miss, never, these, well, will, fell, call<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Geraldine learns Double Letters\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y0VL4Vn97n0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrthorne.com\/e-e\">http:\/\/www.mrthorne.com\/e-e<\/a>\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathematics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are going to be learning all about position and movement. We will be learning how to use grid references to read and plot locations as well as look at language associated with direction and turning.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/firstlevel\/mathematics\/grid_references\/play\/\">http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bitesize\/firstlevel\/mathematics\/grid_references\/play\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/education\/clips\/zf8hyrd\">http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/education\/clips\/zf8hyrd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Mental Maths, we will continue to practise counting confidently in 2s, 4\u2019s, 5s and 10s to build up\u00a0our knowledge of times tables. We will look at compensating as a way of adding 9 or 11 to a number.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our new topic\u00a0will be Percy the Park Keeper! We will be looking at gardens, wildlife and weather. As part of our topic we will be writing our own Percy the Park Keeper story book. We will be looking at how the weather and environment can affect the growth of living things as well as learning about the different animals and insects that can be found in different garden habitats.
