This year it is our turn to star in our annual nativity play &#8216;A Miracle in Town.&#8217; We will be rehearsing with our music teacher, Mrs Herbert, our drama teacher, Mr Horabin and with our class teachers. We look forward to performing for you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language<\/strong> &#8211; This month&#8217;s phonemes are<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;<strong>ea<\/strong>&#8216; as in br<strong>ea<\/strong>d \u00a0 \u00a0 &#8216;<strong>wa<\/strong>&#8216; \u00a0 \u00a0 &#8216;<strong>th<\/strong>&#8216; \u00a0 \u00a0 &#8216;<strong>ie<\/strong>&#8216; as in tr<strong>ie<\/strong>d<\/p>\n<p>Our new common words are<\/p>\n<p><strong>learn \u00a0 \u00a0 children \u00a0 \u00a0 because \u00a0 \u00a0 earth \u00a0 \u00a0 second \u00a0 \u00a0 fifteen \u00a0 \u00a0 five \u00a0 \u00a0 fourteen \u00a0 spring \u00a0 \u00a0sunny \u00a0 \u00a0 those \u00a0 \u00a0 home \u00a0 \u00a0 tell \u00a0 \u00a0large \u00a0 \u00a0 spell \u00a0 \u00a0 still \u00a0 \u00a0 saw<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/_d_improd_\/IMG_1991_f_improf_246x189.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathematics\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Mental Maths will be taught every day as a stand alone lesson. This normally consists of fun active lessons focusing on either addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time &#8211; \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>O&#8217;clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to<\/li>\n<li>Writing times<\/li>\n<li>Durations<\/li>\n<li>Past, present and future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Money &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coin collections with \u00a31<\/li>\n<li>Change from \u00a31<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving and enquiry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Topic &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong> We have now finished our &#8216;Pirates and Islands&#8217; topic.<\/p>\n<p>During Nove<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/_d_improd_\/dr-seuss_f_improf_224x101.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"101\" \/>mber we will be reading a number of books by Dr Seuss. We will find out about the author and participate in some activities linked to his books.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>RE<\/strong> &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saints<\/li>\n<li>Remembrance Sunday<\/li>\n<li>Advent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will continue to learn from all areas of the curriculum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Polite Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is our Harvest Assembly on Friday.
