Language<\/strong>: We continue to learn new phonemes and common words every week.<\/p>\n This month’s phonemes are:\u00a0ch (chorus) \u00a0 \u00a0 se (cheese) \u00a0 \u00a0c (city)<\/strong><\/p>\n Our common words are: \u00a0 \u00a0any \u00a0 \u00a0body \u00a0 \u00a0carry \u00a0 \u00a0along \u00a0 \u00a0story<\/strong><\/p>\n back \u00a0 \u00a0bird \u00a0 \u00a0add \u00a0 \u00a0between \u00a0 \u00a0world<\/strong><\/p>\n city \u00a0 \u00a0icy \u00a0 \u00a0face \u00a0 \u00a0place \u00a0 \u00a0more<\/strong><\/p>\n We will continue with our weekly writing lessons, exploring many different genres. In grammar lessons we will be focusing on the use of commas.<\/p>\n Maths:<\/strong> We have been exploring money, looking at coins and notes and identifying ways to pay for items. We will be moving onto Hundreds, Tens and Units, looking at ‘chimney sums’ or ‘horizontal addition and subtraction.’<\/strong><\/p>\n Homework:<\/strong> Homework will be issued on a Monday and should be returned on Friday. Please could all homework jotters be covered.<\/p>\n Gym:<\/strong> Children are learning some Scottish dances to perform at our school ceilidh on Wednesday 27th January.
