In the afternoon, P5 plan to make Spring Rolls.<\/li>\n<li>PE lessons\u00a0with Mrs Armstrong &#8211; P1 blue, P1 red, P2 blue, P2 red, P4 and P4\/5.<\/li>\n<li>3.15 &#8211; 4.15pm Active Schools run Basketball Club for the children in P5 &#8211; P7 who have registered.<\/li>\n<li>5.30 &#8211; 6.30pm Football training at St Machar Academy for P5 &#8211; P7 pupils who have registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tues 9th February<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shrove Tuesday.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/Easter\/ShroveTuesday.aspx\">http:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/Easter\/ShroveTuesday.aspx<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Safer Internet Day \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saferinternet.org.uk\">www.saferinternet.org.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mark Booker from the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciafyouth.org.uk\/\"> Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF)\u00a0<\/a>is running workshops for P6 and P7 in the morning. In the afternoon, we have a whole school assembly to learn how SCIAF spends the WEE box donations we collect during Lent.<\/li>\n<li>P3 blue swimming lessons. They are walking to and from Aberdeen Aquatics Centre so please make sure they have warm coats and sensible shoes. It is helpful if the girls wear socks rather than tights please. Each child needs a swimming costume or trunks and a towel.<\/li>\n<li>3.15 &#8211; 4.15pm Active Schools run the Multi-Activity\u00a0Club for the children in P1 &#8211; P3 who have registered.<\/li>\n<li>3.15 &#8211; 4.15pm \u00a0Mrs Jadid runs the Science Club for\u00a0the children in P5 &#8211; P7 who have registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wednesday 10th February<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ash Wednesday. It is the beginning of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicicing.com\/lenten-activities-for-children\/\"> Lent<\/a>. \u00a0We teach all the children about the ways in which Catholics mark this special season.\u00a0Our class altars have purple cloths and we decorate them with the works of mercy that we will try to undertake during Lent. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 1. When we <strong>fast<\/strong>, we \u201cgive up\u201d something \u2013 for example a favourite food, a video game, or a \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 special treat we enjoy. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2.\u00a0<strong>Almsgiving<\/strong> is sharing what we have \u2013 our time or our gifts \u2013 with others. Every class has a \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 WEE BOX and we encourage the children to bring donations for the charitable work of SCIAF. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 3.\u00a0<strong>Prayer<\/strong> is our way of spending time with God, setting time aside to talk and listen to him.<\/li>\n<li>Father Gabor celebrates Mass in the school hall for the school community at 1.15pm. Parents and friends are welcome.<\/li>\n<li>Mrs Duncan teaches P2 red today and every Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li>P5 have their Philosophy lesson at Aberdeen University.<\/li>\n<li>PE lessons with Mrs Armstrong for all P3 pupils and P7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Thursday 11th February<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mrs Bain teaches P6 and Miss McLoughlin teaches P3 red today and every Thursday.<\/li>\n<li>German lessons for P6 and P7.<\/li>\n<li>Drama lessons with Mr Horabin for all P1, all P2, P4\/5 and P5. It is Mr Horabin&#8217;s last day in school and we all wish him a very happy retirement.<\/li>\n<li>3.30 &#8211; 4.30pm Active Schools run the Dance\u00a0Club for the children in P5 &#8211; P7\u00a0who have registered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday 12th February<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Tempest photographer will be in school to take class photos. This year,we plan to have Vista photos.
