Where does our food come from? What can we grow in our school garden?<\/p>\n<p>September \u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/sustainable-development-education\/eco-schools\/ten-topics\/litter\/\">Litter picking and Coastal Clean up<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0Let&#8217;s pick up the litter in our playground and along the paths into school. Can we help to pick up litter in the community &#8211; at Seaton Park or on the beach?<\/p>\n<p><em>We have also been invited to help to plant bulbs near the Seaton tower blocks.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>October \u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jointhepod.org\/campaigns\/campaign\/51\">&#8216;What&#8217;s Under Your Feet?&#8217;\u00a0Week<\/a>\u00a0 We will collect and upload data about invertebrates in our garden.<\/p>\n<p>November \u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/sustainable-development-education\/eco-schools\/ten-topics\/energy\/\">Switch Off Fortnight<\/a>\u00a0 We will learn about saving energy at school and at home.<\/p>\n<p>January \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0We&#8217;ll join\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/ww2.rspb.org.uk\/discoverandenjoynature\/discoverandlearn\/birdwatch\/\">Big Schools Birdwatch<\/a>. Last year, the top 5 birds in Scotland were<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. House sparrow<\/li>\n<li>2. Chaffinch<\/li>\n<li>3. Starling<\/li>\n<li>4. Blackbird<\/li>\n<li>5.
