We have been learning about the sounds \u2018s,a,t,i,p, and \u2018n\u2019. You could play a game of\u00a0 \u2018I spy\u2019 at home or when you are out and about using these sounds. We have been learning how to form the letters correctly and have been thinking of words that start with those sounds to write in our jotters.<\/p>\n<p>We have enjoyed using our cool magnetic boards to help us make words with our sounds and learning the Jolly Phonics songs for our sounds. We have been learning to identify and name our body parts, about what it takes to be a good friend and about our different emotions. They performed \u2018Hansel and Gretel\u2019 for us to watch. Fr Gabor also popped into our class to meet all the new boys and girls in P1 red.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Friday<\/strong>\u00a0we will be going on a \u201csenses\u201d walk . We will think about what we can hear, see, smell and touch as we go on our walk. Children will need to dress appropriately in jackets and waterproof shoes or boots. <strong>If you would be available to help us on the trip, please speak to me in the playground or let the office staff know.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just a quick reminder that as part of our healthy eating policy the children are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit for snack time and that chocolate and crisps are not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your help in supporting your children to complete tasks at home to support their learning. I always look forward to seeing the boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 homework jotters on Mondays.
