{"id":8743,"date":"2018-02-24T15:22:51","date_gmt":"2018-02-24T15:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/?p=8743"},"modified":"2018-02-24T15:22:51","modified_gmt":"2018-02-24T15:22:51","slug":"p3-science-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/?p=8743","title":{"rendered":"P3 Science Trip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Primary 3 enjoyed visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/aberdeensciencecentre.org\">Aberdeen\u00a0 Science Centre<\/a> on Tuesday 6th February as part of a Crime Scene Investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils started by being chemists. They were given the opportunity to take part in a chemistry experiment to identify &#8220;Chemical X&#8221; which the\u00a0criminal\u00a0 had left trace of. Pupils were introduced to terms such as<em> indicator, alkali, acid and neutral. <\/em>Pupils used<em>\u00a0<\/em>red cabbage juice as an indicator to test a variety of chemicals.
