This month we will be concentrating on:<\/p>\n<p><strong>ue &#8211; blue\u00a0 best\u00a0 number\u00a0 other<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>aw &#8211; very\u00a0 took\u00a0 fast\u00a0 there<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>oi &#8211; their\u00a0 some\u00a0 them\u00a0 last<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>au &#8211; because\u00a0 week\u00a0 keep\u00a0 when<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our main focus will be looking at time. We will be learning how to use a calendar to plan and be organised for key events. We will also be looking at analogue clocks concentrating on o&#8217;clock and half past. Fun Mental Maths games and activities will also be available for the children.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/analog.onlineclock.net\/analog-clock-face.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for analogue clock face\" width=\"231\" height=\"231\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Health and Wellbeing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This month we will be focusing on the &#8216;Achieving&#8217; indicator from the SHANARRI Wheel, specifically looking at healthy lifestyles.<a href=\"https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/shanarri-wheel.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7450 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/shanarri-wheel-300x295.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"141\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/shanarri-wheel-300x295.png 300w, https:\/\/st-peters.aberdeen.sch.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/shanarri-wheel.png 432w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 141px) 100vw, 141px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The children will be learning about life in Australia. We will be looking at the Australian climate, wildlife, Aboriginal people, cities and culture. Taught writing lessons will be centred around this topic. Children will be writing postcards, making tourist information leaflets etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gentle Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gym lessons will be on a Monday and Wednesday. All children should have gym kit in school. For safety reasons earrings should not be worn. Please either remove them on gym days or cover with tape.<\/p>\n<p>Please ensure that your child has their reading book with them on a daily basis. Groups are heard twice a week.
