Assessment Information for Parents

Assessment is a central part of everyday learning and teaching for children and young people. It helps teachers to identify where strengths lie and where more support is required.

The Scottish National Standardised Assessment (SNSA) is a  diagnostic tool which teachers will use to inform their professional judgement on pupil progress.  The SNSA is a high quality standardised assessment product, developed in consultation with a range of education professionals, fully aligned to Curriculum for Excellence.

In line with all schools in Aberdeen, pupils in P1, P4 and P7 will complete these assessments in class time as part of their regular classroom activities this session.
