Starting Primary One

Enrolment for new Primary One pupils starts on Monday 7th January. Aberdeen City Council are introducing online applications for 2019. The online application form will be available here from early January.

Please note that education in a Roman Catholic primary school is available to all primary children in Aberdeen City. School zones have been defined in relation to the three Catholic schools – Holy Family, St Peter’s and St Joseph’s Primary Schools. The catchment zones for each Catholic primary school are very big. When you put in your address to apply for a school place, your default Zoned School will not be a Catholic school, so you will need to select the option to apply for a different school.

Parents have to be able to establish their child’s eligibility by producing the child’s Roman Catholic Baptism Certificate. If a child does not have a Roman Catholic Baptism Certificate, parents may still apply for any Catholic school by submitting a placing request.

Children who have a Roman Catholic Baptism Certificate will be given priority over those who don’t.
