October/November News from P1 Red!

Hello from everyone in P1 Red Class!

Before our October holidays, we enjoyed taking part in the Harvest Festival in our school. We all brought in some food to give to people who may not have as much food as us to eat. We felt happy to give thanks for the food we have and also give some food to people in need.

Everyone in P1 Red class had a great time during the October holidays and we returned to school with lots of energy for the new term!

We have been busy bees here at St.Peter’s learning two new sounds a week and also getting two new books a week which we read in school and then at home. We absolutely love getting a new book on Monday and Wednesday each week! Here are some pictures of us working hard learning our sounds every day in school.

We are working hard in Maths class and have been learning about numbers, adding to ten, pattern and lots more! Have a look at how busy we are!

Everyone at the Fancy Dress Party looked very spooky and we really had a great evening dancing and playing games!

We finished learning about our senses and enjoyed using our sense of smell to guess what was in a cup. We also loved listening to the story “Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear?”

We love doing art and have been having fun working on printing and painting recently.

Here we are visiting the Aberdeen Sports Village for some fun gym classes!

We could not be more excited about the free Bookbug book packs we are going to get next week! We are counting down the days on our classroom calendar until we get them! We have read one of the books in class called “Lost for Words” and learned all about the Tapir animal and his friend the giraffe. We made beautiful giraffes during art class on Friday! We think they look great!
