Literacy

Our phonemes last term were:

Each week we were learning four or five common words.

At the beginning of the term we were watching “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. It helped us describe what makes a good friend.

Numeracy

Last term we were looking at numbers- ordering, sequencing, adding and subtracting. In mental maths we were looking at strategies such as bridging through ten, partitioning, counting on and counting back.

Topic

At school we were looking at ‘Our Democratic World’ and how all of us play a very important part in it. As part of our topic we took part in democratic elections for a Prefect and our Eco Representative.

Health and Wellbeing

In class we were discussing the importance of staying healthy and safe. We prepared role plays with our partners to demonstrate how to react in emergency situations. We were using the SHANNARI wheel to guide our learning.
