P1M 2021-2022

P1M September class news.

The boys and girls have settled very well into Primary 1. They have been making new friends and exploring the school environment.

We enjoyed staying for our first lunch in school. We enjoying choosing our lunch on the whiteboard every day.

We have been learning lots about numbers. We do maths activities and games every day in class.

We have a special frog in class called Fred. We love playing action games with Fred. He can only speak in sounds, we love listening to the sounds and following the instructions. In the gym hall he tells us to h-o-p and we all have to start hopping!

We loved learning about Mary, we learned that it was her birthday. We made special flowers to decorate our class altar to celebrate.

Every week we have RADS football skills with Callum in our garden. We love playing games with Callum and learning how to control the ball.

Our class topic this term is “People who help us”. We drew pictures of our families and thought about what they do to help us. We made special cards to thank someone in our family for helping us to do something like making yummy food or playing fun games with us.

This week we have been learning about how people in school help us. Mr Sturrock and Mrs Bain came into our class to talk to us about how they help the children at St Peter’s.

We are very thankful that the lovely dinner ladies give us yummy food to eat every day. We practised our cutting and colouring skills when we made our own plates of food. We tried to include some of our favourite foods on our plate.

Later this term we will be learning about the Police, Doctors, nurses and firefighters.

Next week we are going to be doing some baking for our special MacMillan coffee morning. On Thursday we will have a lovely time together eating what we made, we would appreciate any donations for MacMillan cancer support on Thursday (suggested donation of £1).

Thank you for all your support.

Miss MacDonald.
