Christmas and Advent in P4 class.
The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming,” it is a time for Christians to prepare themselves for the celebration of the Nativity of Christ at Christmas. Our Advent was very busy. We made our own wreath and added flames to it every week during Advent. We also heard, read and discussed many Christmas stories from the Bible. We were learning about Liturgical Seasons and their meaning. We also found out about the significance of the gifts brought by the Magi for baby Jesus.
We were very excited to have the opportunity to make our own Christmas cards, Christmas hats and calendars for 2022. We enjoyed a visit of Santa to our school and had lots of fun watching Christmas panto ‘Jack and Beanstalk’.
We took part in Christmas fair where we were selling recipe books and sweets prepared by our class. We also enjoyed our Christmas lunch and Christmas party in our class.
We wish everyone happy, safe and spent with loving families Christmas and a Happy New Year 2022!!
