Term 4 Review

Welcome back to P5s last post of the year. It has been a wonderful year full of great learning opportunities and experiences. This post will focus on our learning within the last few weeks.

Numeracy

We have worked hard on Money, Budgeting and Saving. We thought about real life examples linked to money and this really helped develop our problem solving and enterprising skills.

Literacy

We have loved the creative writing we have been doing within our ‘We are the Champions’ context for learning. We have written imaginatively, inspired by our favourite authors. We have also kept a log of every skill we have developed so far in this context for learning. We have continued to have classroom discussions where we learn to listen to and give opinions in a respectful way.

Health and Wellbeing

Our learning has been focused on staying Safe. The location of our school places us very near rivers and the beach therefore it has been important to develop our knowledge and learning of how to stay safe in or near the water – especially during the warmer weather.

Olympics School Show

Huge congratulation to P5 for their part in the fantastic Olympics School Show where each class represented a nation taking part in the Olympics through song and dance. Our nation was Norway and we did so well learning all the lyrics and making up dance moves to ‘Take on Me’ and ‘Faded’. It was a lovely bright and colourful event to showcase our learning near the end of the school year.
