P1/2 Class News
P1/2 have continued to work very hard this month!
We thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Katie Morag and the Island of Struay. We wrote postcards from Struay and even posted them in our own Post Office!
In maths, the children have been learning about multiplication and subtraction. We still enjoy active literacy and learn new sounds and words every week.
This week has been Catholic Education Week at school. P1/2 have been learning about Pope Francis and have spoken about other modern day saints such as Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa. We created a ‘Kindness Wall’ in the class which gave the children the opportunity to give compliments to each other. We have enjoyed reading about Moses from the Bible. He was a shepherd so the children made their own sheep to remind them about the story!
We hope you enjoy the long weekend!
