Eco group 2025/2026

As always, the Eco group has been very busy. This year we have been working on gathering evidence for the second green flag. Along the way we achieved the Ruby Robin Award for working on researching Scottish birds, finding different bird species in the environment around us and doing various other activities linked to the award.

We worked on planting different flowers and potatoes in our school garden and we shall continue preparing our plant pots for the summer months.

We were very fortunate to receive some plants from the Parkhill Gardening Centre and we distributed them around the school so that every class could look after one of the plants.

Finally, we participated in litter picking on our school grounds and learned about the importance of looking after our planet by recycling, saving water, saving electricity and looking after the environment around us.
