Welcome to P3 Red!

Welcome back to St Peter’s school! I hope that you have had a lovely summer holiday and are looking forward to the new school year.

The children have made up their own school rules which we will be displaying in the classroom. A picture of our display will follow soon.

Details of our timetable:

Monday – we have PE with our specialist teacher Mrs Armstrong on a Monday morning. Please ensure your child has a gym kit and suitable indoor shoes.

Tuesday – we are extremely lucky to be offered a four week block of swimming lessons from Aberdeen Sports Village. We will be walking to the Aquatics Centre on Tuesday mornings from 25th August 2015. We are always grateful if any parents/carers could volunteer to help.

Thursday – Drama lessons with our specialist teacher Mr Horabin.

Our Learning In September

We continue to learn from all areas of the curriculum.

Maths – we will be consolidating our previous knowledge of times tables and concentrating on number bonds to 20 and beyond.

Topic – This term’s topic will be ‘Pirates and Islands’.We will be creating our own pirate characters, making a pirate ship, using co-ordinates to locate treasure and much more!

Literacy – we will be consolidating the following sounds and spelling words
