Dear Teachers, Pupils and Parents

Rotary Club of Aberdeen St Machar would like to pass on our appreciation and thanks to everyone who has supported this year’s Appeal.

Rotary Clubs in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire have had their best ever Christmas Appeal.

On Tuesday 24th November 3,850 shoeboxes left Aberdeen for the main Shoebox Charity HQ and warehouse in Preston, Lancashire. Then, in time for Christmas, two HGV lorries, each carrying about 13,000 shoeboxes will depart from Preston to Ukraine, Romania and Moldova. Once in a country, the shoeboxes are distributed to the most disadvantaged children and families by a network of partner agencies. Additional shoeboxes are being sent this year to Albania for Syrian refugee families who have come into the country.
