Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from P1 Blue! We have had a very busy term so far and we are enjoying being back at school. This term our topic is Scotland and we have been learning about Hamish McHaggis and his journeys all around Scotland. So far, he has travelled to Inverness and he met the Loch Ness Monster. We have also been learning that the thistle is the National flower of Scotland.
We have been learning the letters, w, j and v and to help us remember them, we made paper watches and some jelly fish
.
It was Martin Luther King Day on 18th January and the class were very lucky to meet Andy McKechnie who helped the class learn more about rights and why we have them.
We have also been learning some outdoor games to play at playtime. We wrapped up warm and we had great fun!
