What’s happening in school this week? 25th January – 29th January

Please ensure that children bring a pair of indoor shoes.

Enrolment of new P1 pupils who wish to start in August 2016. Parents are welcome to collect forms from the office. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, baptism certificate and proof of address.

We have student teachers in three classes – Miss Ross in P5, Mr Melville in P6 and Miss Perviz in P7. They are taking increasing responsibility for the children’s learning during this block which lasts until Friday 29th January.

Mon 25th January

  • PE lessons with Mrs Armstrong. All children will have the chance to practise Scottish dances in preparation for our ceilidh.
  • 3.15 – 4.15pm Active Schools run Basketball Club for the children in P5 – P7 who have registered.
  • School football training sessions start in St Machar Academy at 5.30pm for P5 – P7 pupils .

Tues 26th January

  • Mr Campbell teaches P4/5 today and every Tuesday.
  • P3 blue swimming lessons. They are walking to and from Aberdeen Aquatics Centre so please make sure they have warm coats and sensible shoes. It is helpful if the girls wear socks rather than tights please. Each child needs a swimming costume or trunks and a towel.
  • Calligraphy lessons for P3 – P7.
  • 3.15 – 4.15pm Active Schools run the Multi-Activity Club for the children in P1 – P3 who have registered.
  • Science Club is cancelled today as we have a staff training session.

Wed 27th January

  • Mrs Duncan teaches P2 red today and every Wednesday.
  • P5 have their Philosophy lesson at Aberdeen University.
  • Mrs Armstrong is organising ceilidhs throughout the day so that all children get a chance to participate in Scottish dancing. If children have anything tartan, they can wear it today.

Thurs 28th January

  • Mrs Bain teaches P6 and Miss McLoughlin teaches P3 red today and every Thursday.
  • German lessons for P6 and P7.
  • Drama lessons with Mr Horabin for all P1, all P2, P4/5, P4 and P5.
  • 3.30 – 4.30pm Active Schools run the Dance Club for the children in P5 – P7 who have registered.

Fri 29th January

  • Mrs Duncan teaches P4 today and every Friday.
  • Prefects’ meeting today at 11.45am.
  • Fr Gabor visits P4.
  • There will be a whole school assembly where we will share some of our learning about Robert Burns.
