Primary 2/3 News

Recently, we have been getting out into the garden. We have been weeding our flower beds to prepare them for the sunflowers we began growing in pots in the classroom. The sunflowers are now planted outside. Some are looking great and some are a bit poorly. Hopefully when we return after the summer holidays our flowers will be HUGE!

We released our beautiful butterflies, which we had watched change from tiny caterpillars, to really big caterpillars, and then they became chrysalides before, finally, hatching into beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies. It was very exciting to see them go off and we were very gentle with them. Some of us even had a butterfly sit with us for a little bit before flying off!

As we near the end of the school year, we would like to invite our parents in to our classroom to see all the work we have been doing. This will take place on Thursday 26th June 2014 at 3pm. The children will be making invitations at the beginning of the week to bring home to their parents.
