P2 Blue share their learning with you

Hello everyone.  The girls and boys in primary 2 blue have been very busy during the last two terms. We have been working very hard and would like to share what we have been learning with you.

We really enjoyed our Jungle Book topic and we learned a lot about rainforest animals, how they live, what they eat, how they move and what life is like in the Jungle.  We made funny animal masks and colourful toucan puppets.

In Literacy we have been learning a new sound every week, having reading lessons and drawing pictures about the stories we have heard. We have been writing about different topics (letter to grandma, make a wish, crocodiles, likes and dislikes, my best friend…). Every Friday morning we write the common words we have learned from memory.

Thank you very much for all the support you give your children at home, helping them to learn to read and to do amazing homework every week. Remember you can always practise what we are learning at Education City. Have great fun!.

In Maths we have been practising addition and subtraction using numbers 1 – 10, number place value, time and fractions.

 

In Science we have been learning about some animals, shadows, light and dark, Moon and Earth movement, recycling and saving energy.

 

Arts and Crafts are always very present in our everyday learning. The children enjoy their learning through developing their skills and imagination.
