P4/5 News

Primary 4/5 have been having a super busy month exploring lots of new areas of learning.

Our topic this term is castles. We came up with some questions that we have about castlesĀ in order to steer our learning!

We have also been completing some amazing and creative homework. Here are some photos of the assignments we have been completing!

We have been participating in the Big Schools Birdwatch. We have been carrying out research on how to identify different species of birds and noticing all the different birds in our environment.

We paired up with the children from Primary 2 to help them to learn their Scottish Country Dance in preparation for our Burns Ceilidh.

We did a great job at performing our Scots poem “Mince and Tatties” to our visitors this week.
We also took part in a Burns ceilidh!

Maths

We will be focusing on Shape in the coming weeks. It would be very helpful if you could send in some packaging which will help us to learn about 3-D shapes for example, cylinders, kitchen towel holders, pringle tins etc. We hope to junk model some of our own castles! Once we have completed shape we will move onto money.
