Primary 2 News!

We have been having great fun in Primary 2 learning lots of new skills!

In maths we have been learning how to measure in cm.  With our shoulder partners we measured each others arms and legs and put this information into a table.  We will be moving on to capacity next.

In mental maths we have been working very hard learning number bonds to 20 and how to subtract within 20.  We play lots of different games that help us to learn how to subtract.

       

We have been learning about dinosaurs and we know all about herbivores and carnivores and the different features of each.  Last week we imagined we were going on a dinosaur hunt and we had to think of what we would need to pack in our suitcase.

We had fun with pastels in art creating a desert effect to place silhouettes of dinosaurs.
