Primary 2 Red: January

Primary two red are enjoying being back to school and sharing our Christmas news. Our topic for the next few weeks is Scottish Literature and we have started by exploring ‘The Fourth Bonniest Baby in Dundee’ in our writing. We will be moving on to look at Katie Morag books, a number of Scottish poems and learning about Robert Burns. In drama we engaged with the poem ‘Mr Ted’ and used describing words to create our own Loch Ness Monsters.

In maths we are focusing on money and we have created a bank in our role play area to help us learn through play. We have discussed ways we can look at money both inside and outside of school to help us understand the context of our learning.
