P1 Red News December 14

Hi from everybody in P1 Red!

It has been a busy month practising for our play, “The Bossy King”. The performance day finally arrived and what a show we put on for everybody! All the boys and girls were absolutely excellent in the show and we all sang beautifully. It was great fun to see so many parents and relations turn up to see us.

As well as our play we also were busy making Christmas crafts for the Christmas Fayre! Our class decided to make sock snowmen. We used white socks, rice and cotton wool to make them. We loved making the snowmen and lots of people bought them at the fayre too!

We have started brushing our teeth in school.  We have been learning all about dental hygiene and how important it is to brush our teeth twice a day and also eat plenty of healthy foods. We love fruit in P1 Red!

 

We are still working hard learning two new sounds each week. We have been busy blending our sounds together to make words. We love reading new words and always look forward to receiving new books each week.

P1 Red have been working on adding numbers on a number line and investigating 2-D shapes in Maths
