Primary 5 January News
January learning
Term 3 has been off to a busy start in Primary 5!
This term our topic focused on Scotland. We enjoyed listening to traditional Scottish myths and legends and learning some Doric words and phrases. We were able to write all about ourselves through Doric and we enjoyed creating our map of Scotland with Doric words and phrases.
We were delighted that Mrs Armstrong came back to teach us some ceilidh dancing. We loved revisiting some old routines and learning some new ones.
For assembly, we performed a poem called “The Blethertoon Vet” to our parents and the Primary 4 -7 classes.
We also created some of our own myths and legends through outdoor learning with Grace. This term, we are going outdoor learning every second week. We have been loving getting out in the fresh air and learning some new skills like whittling, bird watching and tent building.
Our topic this term will be based on Mary Queen of Scots and we look forward to learning more about her role in Scottish history.
RM easi maths log ins will be handed out this week. This can be accessed both in school and at home so please encourage your child to do so.
