P7 Aberdeen Street Art Tour

As part of the Arts Across Learning Festival in Aberdeen, P7 had the opportunity to go on a special street art tour where we started from the Maritime Museum and went for a walk around the streets near The Green area of the city to see some of the painted doors, hidden tiny men and some of the larger Nuart Street Art that has been added to Aberdeen City’s walls over the past few years.

Here are some photos from our tour. Remember to ask your child to point out these things to your family if you are out and about in the city centre.

Our tour guide also pointed out lego bricks used to make some areas of the city a little more colourful as well as some mini workmen in cool places that we had not seen before. Have a look out for them when you are out and about.

We went to see the Monsters on the Bon Accord Terrace Garden. Then we went to see some tiled artwork about famous Aberdeen women and also the everyday heroes wall. Thank you very much to Oskar’s Mum and Kacper’s Granny for accompanying us on the trip.

After our walking tour we returned to the Maritime Museum for a drawing session where we designed our own murals or painted doors using our imagination as well as inspiration from the walk. Have a look around the school for some of the P7 artwork.
