Welcome to Primary 1 2020-2021

Well done and thank you so much to all the families and new P1’s who joined us for their induction days this week. We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday for your first week of primary school.

We also look forward to meeting those who could not manage to make this week too. Whenever you arrive, we will have smiles and a welcoming classroom for you.

Here are some photos of the inside of our classroom. It will be much better when you have all done some lovely pictures to display on the walls. It will be great to see you playing with the toys and learning in all sorts of ways.

Over the next few weeks, parents will be asked to sign permissions for photos so that you will soon see photos of the children in action on this website. Also remember to follow the school on Twitter on @AbStpeters where you will see some of what is going on throughout the school.  For now, here are some examples of the lovely outdoor learning that we have been getting up to this week. We have made clay faces on the trees, some dinosaur lands using natural materials, bubbles, mud pies and leaf painting.

Week beginning 17th August, most of us will arrive between 9.00am and 9.20am and we will be in the sand area of the playground, similar to this week, and there will be some new activities. Children should bring a water bottle and a piece of fruit please. They can bring their own packed lunches or have school packed lunches before going home.
