End of Term 4 – Final update from P2/3
We have had a busy final term of P2/3. Take a look at what we have been up to below:
Numeracy
In Numeracy this term, we have been learning to subtract, multiply and divide. We have also been learning to understand fractions and measurement.
Literacy
In Literacy this term we have been learning to create a setting, doing this alongside our ‘Trip in a Time Machine’ IDL context, where we explored what earth would have been like when dinosaurs lived. We also learnt how to write a newspaper report, writing about the King’s coronation and discovering a dinosaur bone in the garden!
IDL contexts: Trip in a Time Machine and A Great Adventure
We hosted a class museum, to showcase our learning to our families and had lots of activities and our work on display. We also took part in the whole school show (Through the Decades) and sang two 80s hits. The class did a great job at learning dance moves and lyrics, performing these excellently during their final performance in front of a big audience!
Sports Day
A Great Adventure – Surprise Smores making!
Mr Sturrock surprised us with a den building activity and we got to make Smores! They were delicious and we had lots of fun melting the marshmallows, squishing them in between two biscuits and then eating them in our dens.
Thank you so much to all the P2/3 learners for their hard work this year. We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday!
