P6 have had a very busy Term 3 so far….

Let’s Celebrate has been a very rich and joyful Context For Learning. We have immersed ourselves in Scottish culture: learning instruments, studying and creating poetry, creating art and tasting Scottish food. One of the highlights was the Scottish Music Project, an intensive week where we learned to play guitar, clarsach, pennywhistle and Doric singing. Then we performed for the whole school.

P6 have worked very hard in Maths, where they have been learning about Time and Shape.

In Literacy, we have been reading the novel “Wonder” which we are enjoying very much as well as having some very thought-provoking discussions. We have been writing poetry, letters, factfiles and newspaper articles as well – all linked to “Let’s Celebrate.”
