P4 Update (Term 3)
We were really busy this term. We loved reading our class novel the Last Wolf by Michael Morpurgo.
In reflective reading we wrote prediction of what is going to happen in the book, we drew details pictures of the main characters. We were also book detectives and we looked for difficult and interesting words.
In Maths we learned about fractions. We were looking for fraction of number and shapes. We learned about equivalent fractions and improper fractions. We used concrete material and ICT to help us with our learning.
Our IDL topic this term was –What is the weather like?
We loved talking about the weather. We did regular visits to our school garden to observe the weather and we used our weather equipment to help us to determine what the weather is like .
We also went on a trip to the Seaton Park where we learned how to use compasses and thermometers. We have also learned about different kinds of clouds: we learned their names and what they look like.
During the Science Week we did Science everyday! We loved making slime, talking about brain and active adaption of insects.
