P6 2023-2024

Term 3, Part 2

Primary Six have had a very happy and successful second half of Term 3.

How’s The Weather? has been a very interesting context for our learning. We have been learning about climate change and weather. Ask your P6 about the difference between weather and climate! We have conducted our own renewable solar and wind energy experiments. We have been writing weather forecast scripts and filming ourselves using green screen technology – check us out on YouTube!

P6 have continued to work very hard in Maths, where they have been learning about multiplication and division.

In Literacy, we finished reading the novel “Wonder” which we really enjoyed. We are now reflecting on it together and compiling our reviews. In Art we created our own Wonder-inspired self-portraits. We have also been learning about the narrative device of foreshadowing and the circular narrative in storytelling.

We have been very lucky to have more class outings this term – to St Machar Academy to learn about healthcare careers and to Mission Church for an immersive Easter workshop.

Well done Primary 6 – have a lovely Easter break!
