JRSO’s Beep Beep! Day: April 2024

Beep Beep! Day is a road safety day which is designed to teach important road safety rules to young children.  St. Peter’s R.C. Primary School celebrated  Beep Beep! Day on Thursday 25th April 2024. 

Our JRSOs worked incredibly hard organising, planning and running fun, educational sessions with P1B, P1W, P2 and P2./3. 

The three important road safety topics our JRSOs taught our pupils were

• Holding hands with a grown up when walking near roads

• Crossing roads at safe places with a grown up
• Using a child seat when travelling by car

Each thirty minute session consisted of fun games, music and factual information. Proper car seat usage was demonstrated along with vehicle and pedestrian role play!
