‘We are the Champions in P3/4.
From 3rd June to 5th July we will work on ‘We are the Champions IDL.
During our learning we will:
-take part in Potted Sports day
-compete in different sports during our school’s Sports Day
-design a St Peter’s mascot for sports day with a phrase/ motto based on values on it
-prepare for a whole school Olympics-themed show on Thursday 27th June
-talk about Olympics and UEFA Euro 2024
Literacy
We will work on writing different genres during literacy lessons. We will:
-create instructions for our own outdoor games
-research and write fact files about local sports personalities
-create digital invitations to Sports Day for our families
During Read Write Inc lessons we will cotinue working on our spelling, reading and phonics.
Numeracy
We will work on 2D and 3D shapes. We will learn to name, identify and classify a range of simple 2D shapes and 3D objects and to recognise these shapes in different orientations and sizes. We will also use mathematical language to describe the properties of a range of common 2D shapes and 3D objects.
PE
Our PE lessons will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays. We will continue working on our football skills during RADS sessions on Mondays and we will do athletics on Tuesdays.
RE
We shall work on revision of prayers and learn about different stories from the Bible. We will discuss the importance of gospel values which were the basis for our school values. We will also talk about the importance of prayer taking part in Sunday mass.
Homework
Homework will be shared via Google classroom on Monday and is due back by Friday.
