P4 Term 3

This term we are looking at using punctuation in our sentences during Cypic writing. We will focus on Functional, Imaginative and Personal writing. We will continue our guided reading session through the use of Big Cat books. Our class novels this term are The Magic Carpet slippers by Dick King Smith and The Last Wolf by Michael Morpurgo.

We will continue our Next Level (Sports Coaching) sessions with Greg and this term we have the opportunity to go swimming every Thursday.

Our numeracy focus this term is Subtraction, Money and Position and Movement.

Our IDL topics are ‘Our Global World’ where we have a focus on Scotland and Malawi. P4 will take part in Africa week where we make clay pots and receive workshops about AFRI style drumming and dancing. Our other IDL topic is ‘Our Spiritual world’ with a focus on Judaism and a class trip to Thai Buddharam Temple & Cultural Centre to explore other religions.

We have such an exciting term ahead!
