End of term 3 in P4/5
It was a very busy term in our school because we worked on 3 different IDLs. We started with “Our Global World (Scotland)”, where we learned Scottish songs, dances and poems. There were many things we thoroughly enjoyed doing during this topic. One of them was participating in the Scottish ceilidh.

We also loved preparing for Scottish competitions for singing, art and reciting poems. Congratulations to all the winners.

Our second IDL, which we worked on during February, was called “Our Global World (Africa and Malawi). During this topic we looked at some global goals such as fairness, food poverty and preventing famine. We had an African day where we sang African songs, listened to African stories, did drumming and had many more amazing activities linked to Africa.

We also created African dioramas with clay animals and we researched some information about them.

Our last IDL this term was called “Our Spiritual World”. During this topic we were learning about different religions. P4/5 class looked at Judaism. We researched different symbols and holidays linked to Judaism and presented our research in front of the class.

We also looked at different Jewish artefacts and visited a Gurudwara in Aberdeen.

During this term we also spoke about Lent and Easter and we prepared for Easter celebrations by reading different Bible stories and working with Easter Booklets.
We wish everyone Happy Easter filled with God’s blessings.
