The primary 6 boys and girls have been very busy the last few weeks. Well done to our Euroquiz team who came second in the Aberdeen heats. It was a very intense tie breaker and we are very proud of the boys. Here is just some of the things we have been up to.

We have all been assigned our parts and we are working hard with Mr Horabin on our Passion play, working on our lines and acting skills. We look forward to getting our costumes ready and performing to an audience on April 2nd. We hope to see you there!

To celebrate World Book Day, some of dressed as our favourite book characters and participated in a school assembly. We also recreated the cover of our favourite books and wrote our own blurbs, trying to convince readers to choose our book, as we are working on our persuasive writing skills. We also tried to create trailers for some of our favourite fairy tale stories on the i-pad.

As part of the “Arts Across Learning festival”, the P5, P6 and P7 went to Seaton Primary School to see a World War 2 drama. The boys and girls really enjoyed this performance as we learned a lot about World War 2 in P5 with Miss MacDonald.

We are working on our co-operative learning skills in class and are currently working on group projects based on life in Old Aberdeen. They are still a work in progress but we are learning some very interesting facts and look forward to sharing them with the class.

We were very grateful for the generosity of some S1 pupils from St Machar Academy for visiting our school to teach us badminton. We learned lots of new skills and had great fun.
