Literacy
This week we have been learning the ‘ai’ sound and our spelling words are said, big, could.
We have been enjoying reading lots of different Fairytales. This week Primary 1 Blue have been reading Peter Pan, Primary 1 Green have been reading Cinderella and Primary 1 Yellow have been reading Goldilocks.
We have been writing our own version of Fairytales and learning how to write a good beginning, middle and end. We will be typing them on the laptops to display in our classrooms.
Maths
We have been learning how to tell the time using O’clock and Half Past on Digital and Analogue Clocks. We are enjoying our daily mental maths lessons and we are getting better at adding and subtracting in our heads.
Wee Green Spaces
Primary 1 Blue have been going to Cruickshank Gardens every Thursday afternoon. They have been looking for Jack’s Beanstalk and they even found poison apples in the gardens. This week we will be looking at different bugs and flowers.
Science
We have been planting beanstalks with Mrs Jadid and we are going to measure them and plant some in our environmental garden next week.
ICT
All primary 1 classes have been learning how to use Microsoft Word and input clip art images. They also know how to access the internet safely.
