Primary 4 class news, September 2014.
Greetings from Miss Webb, Mr Gibb and all Primary Four pupils!
We have had an exciting start to the year and have been busy in and out of school. Some of the highlights so far are:-
We are enjoying our project; Climates around the World. We are having fun investigating and learning about Deserts, Polar Regions, Tropical Rainforests and Temperate climates.
We have started our swimming sessions at Northfield Swimming pool as part of the Aberdeen Aquatics programme. The children have really enjoyed the sessions so far and we have been well-organised, sensible and responsible in getting to/from and ready for swimming/school… Well done everyone!
We visited Aberdeen Sports Village for Table Tennis. The children participated really well and thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and use of the excellent facilities at ASV. Three children were even invited to join the regular Table Tennis Club, held weekly at ASV. Excellent recognition for our P4’s!
We had great fun and wonderful scientific learning experiences at Techfest! The children participated in the ‘Potions and Explosions’ demonstration, investigating acids, gasses and chemistry experiments. We also participated in a physics workshop, experimenting with Light at the ‘Light Lab’ and a computer science workshop to ‘Build a 3D world’, using computer programming skills and techniques.
