P2 Red: December
The Way in a Manager:
Thank you very much to all the families that were able to attend the school fair on Saturday and our Christmas nativity last week. The children were delighted to see you all. They worked so hard learning all the songs and their confidence has developed considerably. The whole school were very proud of what P1-4 achieved and we received some lovely congratulation cards from P6/7.
Outdoor Learning:
We enjoyed learning and playing in the snow last week. We have been learning about melting and freezing in science so we were able to apply our learning by watching the snow melt. We were able to use new vocabulary such as ‘solid’ and ‘liquid’. After learning about time in maths, we also drew our own clocks in the snow. Practising our phonics words in the snow was lots of fun.
Upcoming:
Next week we are excited to celebrate Christmas with our Christmas lunch, class party and carols at Kings College. On Thursday we have a Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for SCIAF. We also have M and M production coming in to perform Pinocchio for us and a celebration assembly on Friday. We are looking forward to continuing to learn about Advent and the Christmas story.
Primary 2 Red wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyous new year. We thank you all for your kindness and support with our learning and we look forward to continuing our journey in primary two.
